Cambridge English refunds, transfers and detail corrections

Refund and transfer rules depend on the registering organisation, exam and timing. This guide explains what to check, prepare and retain.

Start with the direct answer

Check the current policy of the organisation you registered with and apply through its stated route immediately. Submit the candidate, exam, session, order and request in writing, and keep timestamps, documents and replies.

01

Identify the request and deadline

Refunds, transfers, name corrections and special arrangements often have different conditions and deadlines. Check confirmation, order terms and the current policy page.

  • Record order number, exam, city and date
  • Check application deadlines and possible charges
  • Check required evidence and file format
02

Submit through the correct route

Apply to the organisation that took payment and issued confirmation, not an unrelated school or third party. Share only the personal information required for the request.

  • Use the official form, email or service ticket
  • State the requested outcome clearly
  • Keep submission confirmation, email and attachment copies
03

Follow up and recheck

After processing, check the refund amount and route or the new exam, date, location and candidate details. Do not treat a verbal answer as completion without written confirmation.

  • Follow up on the original ticket after the stated processing time
  • Check every updated registration detail
  • Retain the final outcome and payment/refund record

Verify current official information

This article explains the process, checklist and decision method. Changing dates, fees, locations and policies must be checked on the current registering-organisation or Cambridge English page.
